2021 Alumni Heads & Representatives Gathering

The MAAC was unable to organise any physical meetings or events during a series of lockdown issued by the Malaysian Government during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. Therefore, an online zoom meeting was organised instead on 27 October 2021. This meeting was organised for the Alumni Heads and Representatives to meet with the new Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, His Excellency, Dr Justin Lee, Counsellor (Education & Science) for the Department Of Education Australia, Ms Fiona Morris, and Austrade Minister-Counsellor (Commercial) and Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner (Malaysia & Brunei) Mr Paul Sanda. Apart from The MAAC as host, there was an attendance of more than 40 Alumni Chapter representatives from 28 Universities. Other than introducing each individual Alumni to the 3 guests from the Australian High Commission, they also highlighted some concerns and common working grounds to engage with the Australian Alumni. We hope to be able to meet physically once the pandemic is no longer a threat.
