2021 Australian Alumni Awards

After a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the MAAC decided to bite the bullet and held the 2021 Australian Alumni Awards, despite the fact that large scale physical dinners are still not allowed. Therefore, instead of presenting the Australian Alumni Awards at the annual Australian Alumni Gala Dinner, the MAAC held the 2021 Alumni awards at the Australian High Commission while live streaming it through our social media platforms.
Hosted by the Australian High Commission, the awards were successfully held on 04 December 2021. 4 winners were awarded that afternoon and they were:

The MAAC promoted this event through all social media platforms, and it was live streamed over the MAAC Facebook & YouTube Channels. To creates more excitement for this event, the MAAC also ran a special award on Facebook. In this special award, 5 winners were chosen from those who have shared and tagged 3 of their friends, and written the designated tagline on the MAAC Facebook page. 5 winners were drawn randomly at the event, and they received RM100.00 each. All 12 award finalists who attended the awards presentation were also give a copy of the MAAC’s coffee table book titled, ‘Of Wau & Boomerang: Nurturing Talents Across Borders’ and a goodies bag, which was specially sponsored by Tourism Australia.
