2018 Alumni Heads & Representatives Gathering

The annual alumni heads & representatives meet and dinner was recently held in a cozy restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. This year’s event was a little bit special as the newly appointed Patron to the MAAC and Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, HE Mr Andrew Goledzinowski, was invited to meet the alumni heads & representatives from all the Australian alumni chapters in Malaysia. Prior to dinner, Mr Goledzinowski, made a short speech introducing himself briefly and highlighted the importance of the close bilateral relationship between Malaysia and Australia in many areas, including economic development and education. He complimented the alumni of the universities and its members for doing a great job in contributing towards this, and urged everyone to keep up with it. He is also overwhelmed by the experience of the Malaysian hospitality and see the great work done by the MAAC since his arrival in Kuala Lumpur.

At K2 Asia Fusion restaurant, owned by Mr Desmond Wong, an alumnus of Murdoch University, member guests were treated to a Thai buffet spread. A catching-up session followed thereafter before everyone headed home, looking forward to meet again at the upcoming gala night.
