Alumni Speakers Series: A Conversation with the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO
The former Governor-General of Australia Dame Quentin Bryce was the guest speaker at the Australian High Commission’s Alumni Speaker Series organised by the Australian High Commission in collaboration with The MAAC, MASCA and MABC. This event was held as part of International Women’s Day celebrations and the theme of the discussion was ‘Women in Public Life’.
Ms Bryce was the first and only lady Governor-General of Australia and during the event, she spoke about her life experiences and her perspectives as a woman in public life. The event was moderated by the Deputy High Commissioner of Australia to Malaysia, Dr Angela Macdonald PSM and the audience were encouraged to ask Ms Bryce questions.
More than 50 alumni from Australian universities were invited for the event where majority of them were ladies. Representing The MAAC includes its President, Ms Pat PW Yeoh, Ms Nicole Lim, Vice President (Bilateral Relations), Ms Jane Teh, Vice President (Education & Welfare) and Ms Melissa Tan, Councillor.
